Description
FGF-11 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion.
FGF-11 is also known as FGF homologous factor 3 (FHF3), belongs to the heparin-binding FGF family. FGF-11 is expressed primarily in the nervous system and may play a role in the function and development of the nervous system.
