10X RNase III Reaction Buffer

Description:
Ribonuclease III (Rnase III) is an endoribunuclease that cleaves double-stranded RNA, resulting in 12-15 bp dsRNA fragments with 2-base, 3’-overhangs, and 5' phosphate and 3' hydroxyl termini. 
 

Source:
Ribonuclease III (RNase III) from E. coli is an endoribonuclease that specifically digests dsRNA to dsRNA fragments that have two-base, 3' overhangs.

Application:
- Digestion of dsRNA to short fragments
- RNA structure, processing, and maturation studies

Unit Definition:
1 unit of the Rnase III digests 1 µg of dsRNA in 20 minutes at 37°C
