PRINCIPLE
Erythrocytes in the sample are efficiently
lysed and the leucocytes separated
by centrifugation. After lysis under
denaturing conditions and simultaneous
inactivation of RNases the lysate is
transferred to a PerfectBind column.
RNA binds to the column´s silica
matrix and can be washed with
specific buffers to efficiently remove
contaminants like hemoglobin. The RNA
is finally eluted with RNase free water.

- Column volume: 0.75 ml
- Elution volume: 50 – 100 μl
- Binding capacity: 100 μg/column
- RNA yield: 1 – 5 μg from
1 ml blood
- For up to 1 ml blood or up to
150 μl frozen blood/column
