Betaine 5M (Molecular Biology Grade)

Molecular weight: 117.15 g/mol
Concentration: 5 M
Nuclease activity: DNase-free, RNase-free

Description:

Betaine (Trimethylglycine, N,N,N-trimethylglycine) is a highly effective reagent used to improve PCR results. Betaine lowers the melting temperature of DNA fragments and primers at concentrations above 1 M. This product is specifically designed for molecular biology applications and is especially suitable for the amplification of DNA fragments with high GC content and/or complex secondary structures.
