About us

Our company was founded in 2007 as as a supplier of polymer matrice for Capillary Electrophoresis with its core product – the JAZZ™ polymer for ABI PRISM ™ sequencers. Since 2010 Carolina biosystems has begun extending the product portfolio and services focusing on products which we had a good experience with. In 2012 Carolina Biosystems has been awarded a distributorship for IntegenX, Inc. In the same year the company has moved into new facility – Carolina Centrum, near Prague airport. A major move came also in 2012 when Carolina Biosystems has been appointed an exclusive distributor for Softgenetics, LLC, the world leading supplier of bioinformatics software solutions. In a cooperation with the next.generation sequencing (NGS) hardware manufacturers (most notably Illumina a Ion Torrent), this has opened the NGS technology to many new customers in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. Based on a successful joint venture with Genomac Research Institute, LTD, in 2013 Carolina Biosystems has further strengthened its position in life sciences and molecular diagnostics by acquiring distributorships for Molecular Clonning Laboratories (MCLAB) and Gel Company. In subsequent years also PeqLAB, Capp Denmark or Amoy Diagnostics, a leading providers of biochemicals for molecular research and diagnostic laboratories worldwide.
