ExTerminator

Description:
ExTerminator is a kit for removal of nucleotide dye terminators from samples after cycle sequencing reactions. It processes samples of up to 20 µl. The kit is based on precipitation of sequencing reaction products on the surface of a special membrane. Mix Blue reagent and WP bind/wash solution are added to the sequencing mixture, the mixture is applied to the minicolumn, and during centrifugation the sequencing reaction products settle on the membrane while excess terminators pass through and are removed. Remnants of salts and other impurities are removed in the subsequent washing step. The purified sequencing reaction products are eluted directly in water and, for capillary sequencers, can be used immediately for thermal denaturation without the need for drying and resuspension in another solution.
