ROX

Concentration: 25 μM
Excitation/absorption maximum: 570 nm
Maximum emission: 591 nm

Description:

ROX is a passive reference dye used for normalization and correction of optical variations between wells during real-time fluorescence signal measurement (qPCR or RT-PCR). ROX also compensates for potential pipetting errors and fluctuations in light intensity from the thermal cycler, ensuring stable and accurate analysis results. The ROX dye remains constant throughout the PCR cycles, providing a stable baseline for sample normalization across wells in a PCR plate.

ROX dye is compatible with real-time quantitative thermal cyclers equipped with a ROX detection channel. Most qPCR instruments require a final ROX concentration of either 50 nM or 500 nM.

The ROX dye is supplied in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.5), 0.1 mM EDTA, and 0.01% Tween-20.
