2X HotStart PCR Master Mix

Description:
2X HotStart PCR Master Mix is a ready-to-use 2× concentrated PCR mixture containing HoTaq DNA polymerase, reaction buffer, MgCl₂, and dNTPs. It is designed for routine PCR, genotyping, and multiplex PCR applications. The mix allows simple reaction setup by adding template DNA, primers, and water. HoTaq polymerase is a hot-start enzyme that is inactive at room temperature and becomes active after heating to 95 °C.

PCR protocol (workflow):

1. Mix template DNA and primers
2. Add water to half of the final reaction volume
3. Add equal volume of 2× master mix
4. PCR cycling conditions:
   • initial denaturation: 95 °C (10 min for HoTaq activation)
   • denaturation: 95 °C
   • annealing: ~Tm − approx. 2 °C
   • extension: 72 °C (approx. 30 s/kb)
   • final extension: 72 °C
