Preparation guide:
Procedure for preparing tissue culture medium using IBA:

  • Prepare liquid tissue medium using MS, DKW, or another medium as required by the plant
  • Add sugar according to medium volume (typically 30 g per liter), 1 ml/liter PPM, and 3–4 g gellan gum or 6–8 g agar per liter
  • Add the required amount of plant hormone (IBA)
  • Sterilize the medium in an autoclave at 121 °C for 20 minutes at 15 psi

 

Usage:

  • Stimulation of adventitious root development and callus formation
  • Inclusion in micropropagation media to facilitate seedling root formation
  • Application on graft unions to accelerate callus formation and successful graft maturation
  • Support for germination of certain seeds requiring dormancy breaking
