Bacteria lysis kit

Description:
Bacteria lysis kit is an additional set of reagents for genomic DNA isolation from Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It is designed for use with MagnifiQ Genomic series kits and the Genomic Mini Universal kit. Cell lysis is the first and crucial step in successful DNA isolation. Its aim is to quickly and thoroughly break down the cells in a sample so that nucleic acids are released into the lysate. The kit contains the BacBreaker enzyme mix, which according to the manufacturer was developed by A&A Biotechnology to ensure effective lysis of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. According to the manufacturer, it provides complete lysis of both bacterial types, enabling an efficient DNA isolation process, and minimized DNA fragmentation during lysis provides high quality DNA for metagenomic analyses.
