Description:
MagnifiQ 1 Genomic DNA instant kit is designed for automated magnetic isolation of DNA from various types of biological material in a strip format. It contains ready-to-use, reagent-filled strips and all necessary consumables. The strip format enables isolation of a single sample per purification run. The MagnifiQ product series is based on automated nucleic acid isolation using magnetic beads. According to the manufacturer, this approach significantly shortens working time and reduces the risk of error compared to manual methods. The isolated material is, according to the manufacturer, suitable for downstream analysis by qPCR and RT-PCR as well as for sequencing. The manufacturer also states that no initial preparation of buffers is required: it is enough to add samples to the strip and the extracted material is available in approximately half an hour. According to the manufacturer, different sample types can be processed with one universal kit and an automated extraction programme.

• Bacterial cultures (G−, G+): the separately supplied Bacteria lysis kit is required for sample preparation
• Yeast cultures: the separately supplied Yeast lysis kit is required for sample preparation

• Fresh or frozen blood, serum and plasma
• Animal tissue
• Swabs: swabs in transport medium require no additional preparation, while for dry swabs the part of the swab with the sample is lysed directly in a tube
• Feces and environmental samples (soil, activated sediment, compost), including samples stored in conservation solution: the separately supplied Microbiome lysis kit is required for sample preparation, or the StoolSave DNA Protection kit for samples stored in it
• DNA preparation for qPCR, RT-qPCR and sequencing
