Description:
The miRNA Purification Kit from the American company BioDynami utilizes patented technology based on the properties of SPRI (Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization) beads. This kit is specifically designed for the selective purification of microRNA (miRNA) and the efficient removal of tRNA, 5S RNA, and other larger RNA molecules. These contaminants can negatively impact the sensitivity and consistency of data in applications such as PCR, RT-PCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS), microarray, and more.
Workflow:
The process of obtaining high-quality miRNA for further experiments is illustrated in the diagram. First, tRNA binds to magnetic beads and is subsequently removed using a magnet. Next, miRNA binds to a second set of beads, while unwanted impurities are eliminated. miRNA is then isolated using magnetic separation, followed by a washing step to remove any remaining contaminants, and finally, purified miRNA is eluted.

Efficiency:
The results of miRNA purification are shown in the image below. Samples A and B are displayed before and after purification. The data indicate a significant reduction in tRNA content after purification, while miRNA levels remain intact. This demonstrates the kit's effectiveness in removing tRNA contamination while ensuring high-quality miRNA for experiments. The graph below shows that the tRNA removal rate is high, while miRNA recovery remains efficient. This confirms that the kit effectively eliminates unwanted tRNA while preserving the maximum amount of target miRNA, ensuring high-quality results for downstream analyses.

MCLAB's premixed solution allows the user to perform fast staining on SDS-PAGE gels for protein analysis. This staining solution is nonhazardous and does not require the use of methanol and acetic acid for destaining. Protein bands become visible within minutes and the whole process takes 30 minutes.
SDS, sodium dodecyl sulfate is an anionic surfactant. SDS is commonly used in laboratory as a component of buffer for cell lysis, cell lysis during DNA extraction, and mostly in SDS-PAGE running buffer. Indeed, SDS is an anionic detergent applied to protein samples to linearize proteins and to impart a negative charge to linearized proteins.
TRITON X-114 is used in biochemical applications to solubilize and separate proteins due to its low cloud point (23 °C).
