Description:

Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) powder is a synthetic plant hormone from the auxin group, widely used in agriculture and plant tissue culture to promote root formation.

Features:

  • Easy to use
  • Used to adjust MS medium for callus initiation
  • Applied in preparation of culture media such as V-KM and Cg media
  • Induces lateral and adventitious root formation
  • At low concentrations, triggers rooting response and other auxin-related effects such as cell growth, division, and fruit formation

Synonyms

NAA; 1-NA acid

Molecular Formula

C12H10O2
