Blood Mini Plus

Description:
Blood Mini Plus is a kit for genomic DNA purification from blood samples using minicolumns. According to the manufacturer, it is an increased efficiency kit. It processes up to 1000 µl of fresh or frozen blood. Samples up to 200 µl are processed directly, while larger volumes (200 µl to 1 ml) first undergo erythrocyte lysis with LE solution, and the isolation continues from the leukocyte pellet. This is followed by lysis with Proteinase K and BL lysis buffer, binding of DNA to an activated minicolumn, washing and elution with Tris buffer.

Applications:

• Genomic DNA isolation from fresh or frozen blood up to 200 µl: the sample is processed directly
• Genomic DNA isolation from fresh or frozen blood in volumes of 200 µl to 1 ml: erythrocytes are lysed with LE solution before isolation and DNA is isolated from leukocytes
