Read moreDescription:
GT Detector by Genetek Biopharma is an advanced multiplex kit designed for the amplification of 17 genetic markers (16 autosomal markers and Amelogenin) in a single reaction. The system is optimized for locus differentiation using a five-color system with capillary electrophoresis, ensuring high accuracy and reliability of results. The kit is applicable to a wide range of applications, from forensic DNA profiling and parentage determination to scientific research.
GT Detector covers all loci recommended by the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) and enables high-resolution differentiation, including the amplification of heterozygous SE33 loci.
Features:
Markers:
An overview of the genetic markers included in the GT Detector system is illustrated in the image below. The markers are divided into four color-coded groups based on their properties.
At the bottom of the image, the GT500 Size Standard is displayed, which serves as a reference for precise DNA fragment sizing during capillary electrophoresis, ranging from 60 to 500 base pairs (bp).
This visual overview illustrates the structure of the GT Detector system and its ability to analyze a wide range of genetic markers with maximum accuracy.
Chromosomal Locations:
The table below shows the GT Detector Kit markers, displaying names, dye used, size range, and chromosome locations.
The image below provides a comprehensive view of the relationship between individual markers and their chromosomal locations, which is essential for DNA analysis in various applications such as forensic science and genetic research.
GT Detector Allelic Ladder:
Electrophoretic DNA profiles obtained using the GT Detector system are illustrated in the images below, categorized by marker color groups. The horizontal axis represents DNA fragment sizes (in base pairs, bp), while the vertical axis represents fluorescence signal intensity. Each peak in the graph corresponds to an amplified genetic marker, and the color-coding facilitates the identification of individual marker groups.
This visual output demonstrates the system's ability to generate complete genetic profiles with high accuracy, which is crucial for applications in forensic science and genetic research.
Compatibility and Usage:
GT Detector is compatible with a wide range of DNA extraction methods and DNA sources, including hair roots, bone DNA, and direct PCR amplification (without extraction) using buffers such as GT BLB (Blood Lysis Buffer) and filter papers (GT DBC or GT DBC Blue). Direct amplification from blood, amniotic fluid, and other cultured cells and tissues is possible using lysis buffers GT BLB, GT AFLB, and GT CVLB.
The performance of the GT Detector has been validated on more than 1000 samples.
Kit Contents:
The kit contains all necessary reagents and buffers for multiplex PCR (Multiplex Primer Mix, PCR Buffer, GT HSTaq DNA Pol in Box A). Also included are GT Detector Allelic Ladder, GT500 Size Standard, and GTM5 Matrix Standard for genetic analyzer calibration (Box B).
Package Sizes:
