Read moreDescription:
The GT YDetector 29 from Genetek Biopharma is a highly reliable kit designed for the analysis of Y chromosome-specific DNA. This product enables the amplification of 29 STR markers and AMXY in a single reaction, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in the analysis. Due to its advanced technology, it is ideal for detecting low amounts of male DNA in mixed samples containing female DNA, such as in forensic analysis cases.
The kit uses an innovative five-color system, eliminating the need for an upgrade to six-color channels, and is compatible with commonly used genetic analyzers. It is a perfect choice for forensic laboratories, research institutions, and other professionals working with genetic data.
Features:
Markers:
The image below shows the distribution of the 29 STR markers contained in the GT YDetector 29 kit, grouped according to the color system. The bottom part of the image shows the GT500 size standard, which covers DNA fragment ranges from 60 to 500 bp and serves for accurate measurement of amplified DNA fragment sizes. This visualization illustrates the complexity and precision of the system when analyzing male DNA.
Chromosomal Locations:
The table below shows the markers in the GT YDetector 29. It displays the names, dyes used, size range, and chromosome locations.
The image shows the precise placement of STR markers on the Y chromosome, which are part of the GT YDetector 29 kit. Each marker is strategically selected for maximum accuracy in male DNA analysis. This visualization shows how markers cover different regions of the Y chromosome, ensuring comprehensive genetic analysis for forensic, genealogical, and paternity tests.
Detection Allelic Ladder:
The graph presents the results of DNA analysis using the GT YDetector 29 kit, shown in the form of electrophoretic graphs. Each graph illustrates amplified STR markers divided by dye system (blue, green, yellow, red), with DNA fragment sizes accurately measured using the GT500 size standard. In conclusion, the image demonstrates the kit's ability to perform complex and precise male DNA analysis, crucial for forensic applications and genetic studies.
Compatibility and Usage:
The kit is compatible with Applied Biosystems™ capillary electrophoresis platforms 3500/xL and 3130/xl. It can be used on DNA obtained from various sources such as hair roots or bone DNA, as well as non-extracted samples using GT BLB (Blood Lysis Buffer) or filter papers (GT DBC or GT DBC Blue). The kit’s performance has been tested on more than 1000 samples, some of which are stored in the YHRD database.
Kit Contents:
The kit includes all necessary reagents and buffers for multiplex PCR (Multiplex Primer mix, PCR buffer, GT HSTaq DNA Pol in Box A). Additionally, the kit includes the GT YDetector 29 Allelic Ladder, GT500 size standard, and GTM5 Matrix standard for calibrating the genetic analyzer (Box B).
Package Sizes:
50 reactions (Cat. No. GT-12301-50)
100 reactions (Cat. No. GT-12301-100)
1,000 reactions (Cat. No. GT-12301-1K)
