Easy to use
Stable support

Description:
Supreme TC Grade Agar is a high-quality gelling agent ideal for use in plant tissue cultures. It provides a solid base for the medium and ensures uniform distribution of nutrients and hormones, supporting optimal plant growth and development during in vitro cultivation. It is a popular choice due to its ease of use, high purity, and consistent results.

Features:

  • Easy to use in the laboratory
  • Provides stable support for the growth and development of explants
  • Enables efficient nutrient absorption by plant cells
  • Cost-effective and efficient

Instructions for use:
To prepare 1 liter of medium for tissue cultures, follow these steps:

  1. Add 4.54 g of PCT’s MS Media (or other suitable medium), 30 g of sugar, and PPM™ (typically 1–2 ml per liter) to 800 ml of distilled water.
  2. Top up with water to a final volume of 1,000 ml.
  3. Adjust the pH of the medium to between 5.4–5.8.
  4. Add 6–8 g of Supreme TC Grade Agar and mix well.
  5. Sterilize in an autoclave for 20 minutes at 15 psi and 121°C.
  6. Your medium is now ready to use.

Applications:

  • Thickening agent and carrier for microbial and plant culture media

  • Essential component for in vitro rooting, growth, and differentiation of explants

  • Dosage: 0.5–1.0% (w/v) for solidifying the medium
