10 bp DNA ladder

Contact us

BPDL-100

Suitable for sizing double-stranded DNA fragments from 20-140 bp.

Description

The DNA Ladder, 20-140 bp consists of nine 10-bp repeats and is suitable for sizing double-stranded DNA fragments from 20 bp to 140 bp. The 60 and 100-bp bands are invisible to serve as reference points. The doublestranded ladder can be visualized on 2% to 5% agarose gels after ethidium bromide staining and 4 - 20% TBE gels provide higher resolution. This ladder is premixed with Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) for direct gel electrophoresis.

Application

Determination of the molecular weight of nucleic acids for analyzing restriction digests and PCR products. The DNA Ladder, 20-140 bp was not designed for precise quantification of DNA mass but can be used for approximating the mass of DNA in comparably intense samples of similar size.

Effective Size Range: 20bp to 140bp

Concentration and Usage: 0.2 μg/μl, recommended loading amount is 2 μl per lane diluted with sample buffer. Incorporate ethidium bromide (0.5 μg/ml) into both the gel and running buffer to examine the gel directly under UV-illumination and avoid diffusion of the bands.

Storage Buffer: 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5) 1 mM EDTA

Stability: This product is stable at room temperature for at least 1 month and at 4°C for at least 3 months. Recommended Storage Condition: -20°C
