Description:
MagnifiQ 1 Plasmid Mini instant kit is designed for automated magnetic isolation of high-copy plasmid DNA from bacterial culture in a strip format. It contains ready-to-use, reagent-filled strips and all necessary consumables. The strip format enables isolation of a single sample per purification run. Sample preparation is based on alkaline lysis with the LySee color system for easy visual control of lysis progress. According to the manufacturer, this system prevents common handling errors such as incomplete cell resuspension, inefficient cell lysis or incomplete precipitation of unwanted cell components. The MagnifiQ product series is based on automated nucleic acid isolation using magnetic beads. According to the manufacturer, this approach significantly shortens working time and reduces the risk of error compared to manual methods. The isolated material is, according to the manufacturer, suitable for downstream analysis by PCR and real-time PCR as well as for sequencing. The manufacturer also states that only a few minutes of manual work are needed for sample preparation, with the rest of the procedure carried out by the automatic extraction device, and that no initial preparation of buffers is required: the extracted material is available after about 30 minutes.
