Read moreDescription:
Synthetic Seed Starter Kit is a comprehensive starter kit designed for the encapsulation of plant tissues and the production of synthetic seeds for propagation, breeding, and preservation of valuable genetic material. It enables the conversion of somatic embryos, shoots, or meristematic tissues into “seeds” that are easy to handle, store well, and are ready for germination under controlled in vitro conditions.
Features:
Easy handling of synthetic seeds and simplification of work in tissue cultures.
Possibility of short-term and long-term storage without loss of viability.
Genetic uniformity – each synthetic “seed” is genetically identical, suitable for stable yields and reproducible results.
Support for global exchange of germplasm between laboratories (easy transport).
Cost-effective solution compared to traditional propagation, reducing overall cultivation costs.
Enables mass propagation of elite lines and acceleration of production cycles through rapid multiplication.
Kit usage:
Placement of tissue into solution A: immerse the meristem or node into solution A and ensure complete coverage.
Encapsulation: using the supplied pipettes, collect the tissue with a small amount of solution A.
Stabilization in solution B: release the pipette contents into solution B, where hardening of the coating occurs and a synthetic seed is formed.
Removal: leave the synthetic seed in solution B for at least 5 minutes (max. 10 minutes), then carefully remove it.
Germination: transfer the synthetic seed into the biocoupler and initiate germination under controlled conditions.
Package contents:
Synthetic Seed Solution A
Synthetic Seed Solution B
2× glass jar (8 oz) for mixing, storage, and observation of synthetic seed germination.
1× Biocoupler for initiation of growth and germination of synthetic seeds under optimal conditions.
1× test tube for detailed experiments and work with smaller solution volumes.
2× pipette for precise dosing and transfer of solutions and tissues.
Applications:
Agriculture: stable and predictable yields thanks to genetically uniform plants.
Research and development: safe and efficient exchange of germplasm between laboratories worldwide.
Cost-effective propagation of valuable cultivars for commercial growing operations.
Mass propagation of elite varieties and acceleration of production cycles in commercial agriculture.
